this is where humans get all psyched up about the whole "you cant turn human minds into data."
you can, but the electrical impulses that go on inside a brain are so close to entirely random that the scripting would take centuries.
Anyway, to the discussion: But with today's tech, we could probably get an AI in about 10-50 years, and by then, we'll probably have even better tech, so then we could start private producing them.
